MY STOMACH CANNOT ADAPT.

 MY STOMACH CANNOT ADAPT

Kaima was so excited when she got the invite that her uncle in Portharcourt wanted her to come over for the long vacation. She has always wished to go and see her rich uncle and his family. The day came for her departure after she packed everything, her mum asked her to behave herself when she got to her uncle’s house. When she got to PH, her uncle sent the driver to come pick her up from the park. When they got to the house she was received by her uncle and his kids who were happy to see her. She was taken to her room and was left to settle in.

Dinner was cabbage and fried potato chips. When she saw it she thought it was the introductory meal to the main meal but when her cousins said “thank you” to their parents after eating, it dawned on her that she had just had dinner. Hopefully, the morning would be better she said as she drifted off to sleep.

The next day she was served tea and two slices of bread for breakfast.

Aunty, is this my breakfast”? she asked her uncle’s wife who responded in affirmation and encouraged her to eat up which she grudgingly did. For lunch, she was served crackers and orange juice. “What is this”? she asked her again — lunch her aunty replied. What about rice, spaghetti, garri, even noodles? “oh” those we eat healthy here, her Aunty replied.

On the third day of her visit, Kaima came down and saw four pieces of fried yam, she couldn’t take it anymore.

Right now, Kaima just fainted,😂I think I know why. They have succeeded in waking her up but she says she would not stand up until they call her mother and prepare egusi soup and fufu for her. She is also shouting her “stomach cannot adapt”.

Why do you think Kaima fainted? Please drop your comments
